Heavy industry

Get paid to plan around a few short events.

We pay energy-intensive plants to shift heats, batches and grinding out of a handful of grid events each year, scheduled with your production team.

New data centers need firm grid capacity. Your plant's flexibility is part of how they get it, and you get paid for it.

Industries we model

Built around how your plant actually runs.

We model the process, not just the meter, so we only count load your plant can move without hurting product or equipment.

Strong fit

Electric arc furnace steel

Plan heats around the event window. We price any heats you move or lose, including make-up shifts. Ladle furnace, caster and fume system keep running. Your melt schedule sets the MW, not our model.

Caster sequence, tons shipped
Strong fit

Cement finish grinding

Grind ahead into cement silos, then pause the mills during the event. The kiln is never touched.

Air separation

Turn liquefiers down and serve customers from liquid oxygen and nitrogen tanks, then refill after.

Good fit

Chlor-alkali

Turn cell load down for a few hours, with chlorine and caustic inventory as the buffer.

Silicon and ferroalloy

Trim furnace power within metallurgical and electrode limits for short events, never deep enough to risk the bath.

Production comes first

Planned with your schedule, not imposed on it.

Terms built around your plant. A heads-up when an event looks likely, and notice, event limits and performance terms agreed with you before you sign.

Your limits. Product quality, equipment and customer commitments set the boundaries. We only count what fits inside them.

Short, infrequent events. A few hours at a time, on the tightest days of the year: summer afternoons and winter mornings. Everything is spelled out up front, not discovered later.

Your team runs the plant. We send the signal, measure delivery against an agreed baseline and settle the payment. Your operators make every move.

One contract, with Argo. You are paid by Argo, not by any single data center. If you need to step out of an event, tell us: your contract sets a capped adjustment to that period's payment, and our portfolio reserve covers the commitment to the grid.

Built by plant people. Our team has designed and commissioned process plants and run energy businesses.

Already with a curtailment provider or on an interruptible rate?

A different buyer for the same flexibility.

New large loads can pay more for firm capacity on their own utility. Your plant review compares that with your interruptible rate or current provider, shows what you keep, and never counts the same megawatt twice. We only move forward if you come out ahead.
